Overview

BTI Services is seeking a Senior SharePoint Administrator to oversee both on-premises and cloud-based environments, taking a leadership role in defining and executing systems engineering initiatives within projects that support critical government operations.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties (70%):

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive SharePoint support and training to end users, ensuring optimal functionality of the SharePoint environment.
  • Design and develop sites tailored to meet client specifications utilizing standard functionalities and tools.
  • Manage content databases and site collections, including user account and permission setups.
  • Enhance the user interface of existing sites for improved user experience.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation regarding SharePoint policies, governance, procedures, and user manuals, while supporting migration and modernization efforts.

Secondary Duties (25%):

  • Install, configure, and upgrade SharePoint systems as necessary.
  • Ensure system security and stability, addressing performance, availability, or capacity issues promptly.
  • Design and implement robust SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Conduct daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the SharePoint environment.
  • Work in conjunction with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve SharePoint-related issues.
  • Assist in migration and modernization efforts for infrastructure and design.

Tertiary Duties (5%):

  • Oversee custom workflows and support SharePoint development initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a technical architect with a focus on designing solution environments is essential.
  • An active Top Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain Q and SCI clearance.
  • Proficient technical experience with Microsoft stack technologies in both standard and cloud environments.
  • Experience managing various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Capability to support SharePoint Farms across multiple secure network platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues comprehensively, including collaboration with Microsoft Support.
  • Availability for after-hours support for escalated issues as needed.
  • Solid understanding of change management processes and best practices.
  • Experience with migrating from on-premises to SharePoint Online is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with migration tools such as Sharegate is advantageous.
  • Understanding of basic virtualization, networking, and system integration capabilities is beneficial.
