Position Overview

GovCIO is seeking a skilled SharePoint Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is designed to support the seamless operation of SharePoint environments and will involve a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities


- Ensure the effective functioning of computer systems, including both hardware and software, in various configurations.
- Develop and document innovative procedures to enhance network/system operations and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with support teams, help desks, and technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues, while also coordinating maintenance activities for networks and servers.
- Identify recurring issues and propose solutions to mitigate their impact.
- Plan and execute the transition of environments to adopt new technologies, utilizing system software for performance monitoring.
- Manage system data to optimize performance and assess requirements for server installations.
- Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring user accessibility and functionality.
- Create Knowledge-base articles and Standard Operating Procedures to enhance team support capabilities.
- Implement network/system security measures to safeguard data and software integrity.
- Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of SharePoint sites to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including operational guidelines.
- Write or modify scripts to address basic performance issues.
- Recommend enhancements to improve system and network configurations, including hardware and software requirements.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Experience

- Proficiency in SharePoint administration.

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
