Position Overview:
The State of Florida is seeking a dedicated Regulatory Compliance Investigator to join our team within the Department of Health. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to Florida Statutes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations, audits, and inspections related to regulatory compliance.
- Examine complaints regarding potential violations of state laws and professional regulations.
- Engage in interviews with relevant parties, including sources, subjects, and witnesses.
- Analyze court documents and other critical records; prepare and issue necessary legal documents.
- Compile detailed reports that adhere to quality control standards.
- Act as a field training officer when required.
- Coordinate with impairment program staff for supplemental and probation investigations.
- Implement disciplinary actions in collaboration with Board staff.
- Participate in proactive enforcement initiatives alongside other governmental entities.
- Foster positive relationships with local authorities and professional organizations through effective communication.
- Provide guidance to the public regarding licensure and regulatory matters.
- Represent the agency in administrative hearings and legal proceedings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of legal codes, court procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience in conducting research and data analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of four years in investigative or regulatory roles.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check.
