Job Title: Plant EHS Manager

The Plant EHS Manager is a critical role responsible for developing and implementing a proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) plan that aligns with Pactiv Evergreen's corporate policies, vision, and values. This position ensures compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations, and drives a culture of safety and excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date OSHA and EPA required written programs, and conduct training as necessary.
  • Oversee the reporting and investigation of potential injuries, accidents, and health and safety-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to plant management and employees on EHS matters.
  • Collaborate with Corporate EHS departments to prioritize and implement EHS projects.
  • Develop and deploy policies, procedures, and programs to support best-practice and identify best-practices within the organization.
  • Communicate and train plant management and employees on EHS policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive and related professional health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
