Job Overview:
This position involves performing essential law enforcement duties, crime prevention, and court security tasks while managing a variety of correctional responsibilities related to the supervision and care of adult inmates in secure detention facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Law Enforcement Officer I, you will be expected to:
  • Patrol designated areas to maintain public safety and deter criminal activity.
  • Conduct investigations to locate and apprehend suspects.
  • Serve legal documents and enforce traffic regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and collect evidence.
  • Participate in undercover operations and surveillance activities.
  • Coordinate search and rescue missions.
  • Provide first aid as necessary.
  • Process and manage the transportation of inmates.
  • Engage with community members and provide guidance to individuals in need.
  • Assist in maintaining order during court proceedings.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to law enforcement activities.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a public-facing role.
  • A valid California driver's license.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • A certificate from a Basic POST Certified Academy or current enrollment in a California POST Academy.
