Job Title: Front-End Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Supervisor to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for supervising cashiers, front-end loaders, checkers, and U-boat retrieval staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, train, and evaluate cashiers, front-end loaders, checkers, and U-boat retrieval staff.
  2. Ensure friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
  3. Ensure compliance with established sales and security policies and procedures.
  4. Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Assist customers with product location and detailed information when needed.
  6. Plan and prepare work schedules to include lunch and vacation.
  7. Perform cashier "check-outs" and operate register, when needed.
  8. Perform Supervisor functions of voids and returns, price adjustments, IOUs (F-6) vs. invoicing and cancels transactions.
  9. Assist checkers in comparing customer receipts to items on cart to avoid losses.
  10. Efficiently use industry-specific software to resolve customer inquiries, price checks, inventory queries, and price discrepancies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree, OR
  2. High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in customer service or a related field, OR
  3. Any appropriate combination of education and experience.
  4. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  5. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
  6. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass, and volume.
  7. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  8. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
  9. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
  10. Computer Literacy.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Lift/Carry Abilities (measured for maximum or average load)
    1. Lift – 50 lbs
    2. Carry strength (50' or less) – 50 lbs
    3. Frequent lift/carry (> 12x/hour) – 50 lbs
    4. Constant lift/carry (> 30x/hr) – 20 lbs
  2. Physical Aptitudes (rated based on level of skill involved)
    1. Agility/dynamic balance 80-119%
    2. Finger dexterity – 80-100%
    3. Manual dexterity – 80 – 100%
  3. Posture Tolerance (rated based on frequency or time involved)
    1. Stand/walk – constantly
    2. Reach above shoulder level – occasionally
    3. Twist/turn head – occasionally
    4. Bend over/stoop – occasionally
    5. Climb steps/ladder – occasionally
    6. Kneel/squat - occasionally

Work Environment:

  1. For the most part, the ambient will be room temperature, due to proximity of work-station to the exit doors, room temperature may change according to the season and the level of activity at the store.
