Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at ESPO Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems, and related components.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work and recommend approaches to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Repair and maintain a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures, including building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors, and related hardware and software.
  • Conduct structural inspections for safety and identify, repair, and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment.
  • Perform service and preventative maintenance on motorized equipment, troubleshoot equipment problems, and identify when appropriate for external service provider to make repairs.
  • Coordinate with Facility Project Manager to resolve facility issues as needed.
  • Access and make all levels of adjustments to computerized control systems, such as for lighting or energy management systems, and troubleshoot control system problems.
  • Train less-skilled staff in facilities maintenance trades and assist Maintenance Supervisor to determine training needs for work group.
  • Develop work plans with peer technicians for emergency repair of critical assets.
  • Utilize devices and management system to create and close Work Orders with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used).
  • Respond to facility emergencies and closures, including adverse weather, to ensure that all facilities are protected and remain operational.
  • Assist with tasks required in preparing to open facility after a closure, including snow and ice removal, systems and equipment checks, and start-up operations as assigned.
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain appropriate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree and/or industrial certification preferred.
  • Building maintenance and construction trades experience, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tile, etc.
  • HVAC repair and inspection experience.
  • PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
  • Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanic aptitude.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills.
  • Read dimensional graphic templates in both metric/standard and apply to finished product.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal instructions.
