Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Repair Worker is responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on various facilities, buildings, and equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas and address maintenance-related incidents.
  • Diagnose and perform basic repairs across various trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazing, and painting.
  • Properly dispose of waste and scrap materials.
  • Order necessary parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities along with associated costs.
  • Assist the maintenance department as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards to maintain an organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of handling basic issues and escalating complex problems to higher-level staff.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of maintenance practices.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to interpret work instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in following both written and verbal directions.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
