Job Overview

Position Summary

Medline is looking for a skilled Audio Visual Support Specialist to become a part of our Enterprise Collaboration Team. This role involves providing assistance with A/V systems and events across various locations. The A/V Support Specialist will address end-user requests for meeting support and troubleshoot A/V issues. While the primary focus will be on specific offices, there may be occasions to assist at additional branch locations.

This position requires a hands-on approach. The A/V Support Specialist will engage in all facets of our A/V operations: planning events, selecting technology, coordinating with users, liaising with vendors, collaborating with different teams, and installing A/V systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on A/V systems.
  • Assist with A/V setup and monitoring for important meetings.
  • Prepare and operate equipment for town halls, departmental meetings, and other significant events.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair services for A/V equipment, including touch panels, routing systems, displays, microphones, projectors, and video conferencing tools.
  • Set up, operate, and dismantle all necessary A/V equipment for events requiring portable solutions.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of signal flow within existing systems to quickly resolve issues during equipment failures.
  • Engage in special projects throughout the year aimed at enhancing the A/V experience for users. These projects may involve significant updates to A/V infrastructure, exploring new technologies, and other assigned tasks.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of A/V signal routing, programming, and diagnostic procedures.
  • This position is primarily onsite with limited opportunities for remote work.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience/certification.
Relevant Experience
  • Familiarity with A/V operations, diagnostics, and immediate repair strategies.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and desktop troubleshooting.
  • Experience with installation and wiring of both large and small A/V systems.
  • Experience with configuring A/V devices is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Teams and Zoom administration is a plus.
