Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and execute tasks to maintain the grounds, buildings, and equipment, including all operational systems.
- Ensure the upkeep of operating systems and facilities.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order necessary items for daily operations, and procure non-inventory items as needed.
- Identify defective equipment and suggest replacements for outdated or damaged equipment when repair costs are prohibitive.
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, gas, air, and water systems, as well as sewer, fire sprinkler, and alarm systems.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors on building projects.
- Facilitate prompt repairs to buildings and equipment to prevent production delays.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including monitoring the preventive maintenance program and updating records as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Address complex issues and escalate only the most challenging problems to higher-level staff.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant subjects, including applications, mechanics, electricity, and plumbing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, including proficiency in operating powered industrial equipment.
- Powered industrial equipment certification is preferred.
- Ability to interpret work instructions, including sketches, blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and other reference materials.
- Intermediate proficiency in using required gaging instruments and their applications.
- Competence in utilizing personal and mainframe (EMS) computer programs, including the preventive maintenance program.
- Strong problem-solving and situational analysis skills.
