Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hotel Night Auditor to join our team at Baymont Inn and Suites Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for running end-of-day processes, supervising the hotel overnight, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check guests in and out of rooms using computer systems
  • Take guest reservations by phone or in person
  • Operate hotel switchboard to transfer guest calls and record wake-up calls
  • Balance cash drawers for all shifts
  • Complete daily audit reports
  • Oversee the gift shop and process transactions
  • Ensure knowledge of and adherence to safety and security procedures
  • Operate laundry equipment and deliver guest supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Good working knowledge of computers and software applications
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Basic math skills and ability to balance cash drawers

Work Environment:

The Night Auditor will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. The position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
