During the absence of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will assume all responsibilities associated with the management of the Maintenance department.Responsibilities:
Manages up to 15 employees in the Maintenance department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Acts on the General Managers behalf as needed or as assigned.
Assists Maintenance Manager in maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times in order to meet daily production requirements.
Supervises the established preventative maintenance program which includes lubrication, inspections and engineering sanitation schedules to minimize production down time.
Participates in the selection, training and development of the engineering department staff.
Assists in the scheduling of engineering staff to support schedules, production and non- production hours.
Helps maintain the engineering department s shop and equipment on an ongoing basis.
Assists in purchasing and maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment spare parts. Reviews progress with Maintenance Manager on a monthly basis.
Consults with Maintenance Manager on long and short term improvement needs on an ongoing basis.
Assists the Maintenance Manager in managing the engineering department within all policy and budgetary guidelines.
Facilitates open communication with each subordinate and department head to ensure equipment problems are addressed on a timely basis.
Assists in maintaining comprehensive and complete engineering records, including preventative maintenance schedules, machine history, purchase orders, equipment manuals and capital expenditure requests.
Contributes to the production of a consistent quality product through maintaining and updating facility engineering practices.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout the Company.
Supports and participates in special projects as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree and five years of related bakery or food Maintenance experience orequivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related bakery or food maintenance experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as Production schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Shift:2ndSalary Range:$70,000 - $90,000Aspire Bakeries LLC values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. The final determination of a successful candidate s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
