Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in the specialty frozen baked goods market. We are committed to driving innovation, predicting consumer trends, and exceeding customer expectations.

The Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This includes managing a team of up to 15 employees, overseeing the overall direction and coordination of maintenance activities, and evaluating employee performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize production downtime
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Participate in the selection, training, and development of maintenance staff
  • Assist in the scheduling of maintenance staff to support production schedules and non-production hours
  • Help maintain the maintenance department's shop and equipment
  • Assist in purchasing and maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment spare parts
  • Consult with the Maintenance Manager on long and short-term improvement needs
  • Facilitate open communication with subordinates and department heads to ensure equipment problems are addressed in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the production of a consistent quality product through maintaining and updating facility engineering practices
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of related bakery or food maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of related bakery or food maintenance experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $90,000
