Your responsibilities will primarily involve engaging with key clients, including retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and brokers, as well as overseeing sales merchandisers. Regular interactions with the Vice President of Sales and other sales team members are expected.Qualifications include:
- Over 7 years of experience in a CPG company, ideally within the food industry's retail sector.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks daily, including the sales of two brands.
- Proficiency in creating sales presentations and devising "go-to-market" strategies for corporate retailers.
- Experience managing sales and distribution across various channels, such as DSD, wholesale, and distributors.
Responsibilities include:
- Expanding the regional business by increasing the presence of our brands in grocery and retail chains.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of customers, markets, and competitors, and effectively conveying the company's unique selling points and differentiators.
- Fostering positive relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and brokers.
- Implementing effective promotional plans and monitoring the performance of such initiatives.
- Setting sales targets, analyzing, and reporting on sales outcomes compared to the annual operating plan.
- Crafting client-centric, distinct, and feasible solutions.
Additional requirements:
- A bachelor's degree and more than 7 years of sales experience.
- Expertise in managing pivotal customer relationships and securing strategic opportunities to grow the company's presence.
- Experience with regional food brokers, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of pricing, trade promotions, and their influence on sales volumes.
- Insight into competitive product positioning.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively with teams across sales, finance, and operations.
- Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the industry.
