We are seeking a passionate and driven Product Manager to join our Partner Products team and help shape the future of T-Mobile's in-flight Wi-Fi benefit. You will lead the product strategy and end-to-end user journeys, delivering on our Un-carrier commitment to provide innovative and differentiated experiences for our customers.

This is a highly visible role with significant impact. You will work closely with multiple internal and external partners to bring T-Mobile's in-flight wi-fi product to life. You will identify requirements, define product features, and collaborate closely with Development to build the product. You will work closely with Business Development and Marketing to drive adoption, and with Product Intelligence to define and track product success metrics and user sentiment. You will partner with airlines and satellite internet service providers throughout many stages of the product development lifecycle. You will lead the product from end-to-end, being responsible for its direction, functionality, and ultimate success.

Successful candidates will possess a harmonious blend of business and technical skills. Ability to fully understand technical concepts, including computer networking (IP, DNS, WAPs) and REST APIs. Ability to clearly articulate functional and non-functional requirements and discuss trade-offs with developers. Along with ability to demonstrate experience in all the skills you'll use every day of a product manager, including product discovery, strategy, roadmap development, functional specifications, feature prioritization, usability testing, and product lifecycle management.

Your ability to think quickly to improve and scale the product will require passion, strong relationships, and creativity. Above all, because we truly believe in putting our customers first at T-Mobile, you have and demonstrate customer empathy to build the best user experiences imaginable.

This role is available at our Bellevue, WA headquarters and offers three days a week in person collaboration

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the strategy, roadmap, and development for T-Mobile's in-flight Wi-Fi experience - through all stages of the product development lifecycle
  • Amplify the product vision and strategy across cross-functional partner teams and leadership
  • Identify and handle product blocking issues, provide customer concern management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical and operational constraints
  • Collaborate closely with external partners - including airlines and ISPs - on a harmonized integration strategy, deployments, and technical troubleshooting
  • Work with UX, Product Operations, and Development teams to optimize product features and user experience
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to expand product awareness and evaluate growth opportunities within the in-flight Wi-Fi space
  • Conduct quantitative, qualitative, and strategic analysis to identify, develop, and implement new features and enhancements
  • Ensure that the product goals and objectives meet and align with customer needs and T-Mobile's overall business goals

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field; equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience building consumer products - involved in the ideation, product design, development and launch
  • Past professional experience in the travel industry, preferably with airlines or satellite internet companies
  • Ability to develop a solid understanding of customer needs and business goals, with the ability to convert them into product requirements and priorities
  • Ability to develop innovative ideas and creative solutions
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, meticulous, and challenged by accountability
  • Possess the ability to deliver under tight timelines, operate independently, juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in results driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems through metrics and data-driven decisions
  • Ability to influence, lead and coach cross-functional teams
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical partners
  • Experience defining products, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating with many customers

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Prior experience managing external partners
  • Broad understanding of agile project management concepts and tools, including technical, innovation process, product management, financial and operations functions

Base Pay Range: $103,400 - $186,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
