Need to be bi-lingual Spanish/English.Position Reports to:Vice President of Plant Operations and Director of Human ResourcesJob Summary:Primary responsibilities include the development and administration of plant wide safety and occupational health, food defense, and security programs including policy statement, formation and operation of safety committees, safety surveys, supervisory and employee safety training programs, and accident investigation procedures. Coordinate with outside safety and health, food defense and security agencies and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety and health requirements. Conduct quarterly audits of all locations in conjunction with the Corporate Audit Team. Also administer workers
compensation activities between employees and health care professionals. Direct further care, oversee HCP activities and monitor plans of action for MMI status.Company Work Statement:Employees are responsible for executing company processes by working together as a team in a safe, professional, and effective manner. Safety performance and consciousness requires full, uninterrupted, unbiased, cognitive ability and behavior.4.2Responsible for Food Safety4.3Responsible for Food Quality4.4Responsible for reporting food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.4.5Existence and awareness of a suitable and relevant health and safety policy.4.6A safe workplace without risk to health.4.7Safe plant and machinery, and safe movement, storage and use of articles and substances.4.8Adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities and support.4.9Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning health and safety policies and practices.4.10Proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments.4.11Provision of emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment, and incident reporting to the relevant authorities.4.12Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.4.13The workplace satisfies health, safety and welfare requirements for ventilation, temperature, lighting, sanitary, washing and rest facilities.4.14Prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks.4.15Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems.4.16Oversee workers
compensation activities.5.0Work Station Responsibilities5.1Employees must be working at all times and assist where help is needed.5.2Employees are not to leave their workstation un-attended, unless approved by a supervisor5.3Must keep stations clean and orderly at all time.
