The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge and experience to help foster a culture of safety and compliance across all operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Visit operating facilities and conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead and coordinate safety training programs for all employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in safety technology and methodologies.
  • Manage the health and safety budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters and work with regulatory agencies as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety related field
  • 10+ years experience of Safety Management experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory standards
  • Familiarity with renewable energy, biogas, RNG, power generation, oil & gas, or related industries is a BIG PLUS
  • Certifications in safety management are a BIG PLUS
  • Estimated 50% travel will be required
