What You'll Be Doing

A Mortgage Loan Processor at Bank Iowa is responsible for reviewing real estate loan applications and analyzing file documentation to verify data is complete, accurate and meets regulatory and residential mortgage standards.

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of the Loan Estimate and ensuring appropriate documentation is included in the initial disclosure package based on loan type.
  • Review the initial loan application for completeness and work with Mortgage Loan Officer to gather appropriate documentation required for loan approval, including ordering appraisal and title work.
  • Submit applications for underwriting approval and obtain required conditions to ensure closing dates are met.
  • Review closed loan documentation and confirm that all closing instructions and conditions have been met, including execution of all required documents.
  • Monitor rate lock expiration dates and electronically deliver files to the appropriate Investor/Agency within specified time frame.

Mortgage Loan Processors are generally scheduled to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, hours can be flexible depending on need. Internal candidates located in one of our branch locations may be considered.

Requirements:

Skills/Experience You'll Need

  • Minimum of 2 years processing experience, including Conventional, USDA and VA loans.
  • Ideal candidates will also be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, have strong attention to detail and have ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
