Job Summary

At Golden Empire Mortgage Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Loan Processor to join our team. As a Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in preparing mortgage documents for loan approval, advising mortgage lenders on necessary documents, and working with title/escrow companies to facilitate the loan closing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • File Setup and Management
    • Establish new loan files and ensure all necessary documents are in order
    • Order appraisals, title commitments, flood certifications, and other property certifications as required
    • Communicate with customers regarding conditions required for loan approval
    • Send for verifications as needed
  • Loan Processing and Approval
    • Process active loan files for final approval
    • Resubmit loan files for automated approval after verification of assets and income
    • Communicate with customers and realtors regarding loan conditions
  • Closing and Coordination
    • Issue closing instructions to the closing department
    • Order surveys and final inspections
    • Follow up on outstanding underwriting conditions
    • Verify loan details, including amount, interest rate, and terms
  • Communication and Coordination
    • Monitor lock expirations and closing dates
    • Inform loan officers of any changes to closing dates or other loan details
    • Coordinate with title/escrow companies to ensure smooth loan closings
    • Follow up on missing conditions and other loan-related issues
    Requirements
    • Advanced knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan processing preferred
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to produce accurate and detailed loan documents
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in various computer software programs
    • Professional telephone skills
