Job Summary:


The Purchasing Administrator will perform administrative and clerical duties for the purchasing department.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle purchase order (PO) requests in SAP B1, as requested by the job sites.
  • Sends purchase orders to suppliers and sends requests for quotes to the market.
  • Support the Accounting department with purchase order amendments in SAP B1, as well as handling PO related invoice issues.
  • Assist the workshop with PO related issues.
  • Support small negotiations with suppliers.
  • Run reports in SAP B1.
  • Research vendors and collects prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills for communication with suppliers, internal staff, and management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with Procurement Software (SAP B1, Ariba, Oracle, etc.) preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, however, experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • At least two years of clerical or administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry and Purchasing / Procurement department preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
