JOB SUMMARY

Tejano Center is searching for talented and professional community outreach canvassers to assist with and support all community outreach activities promoting Tejano Center programs, including RYSS Public Charter School District. Responsibilities will consist of conducting door-to-door canvassing activities in designated neighborhoods to promote RYSS First Friends Pasadena and expand our student enrollment through generating leads. This position requires a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven individual to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.

EDUCATION

At minimum, currently enrolled in high school or high school diploma or GED high school equivalency, must be 17 years or older.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred experience with community engagement and outreach activities.

Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.

Strong experience working with the community.

Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

Knowledge of campus vision, mission and campus offerings for students.

Knowledge of local community and areas for potential recruitment.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

General knowledge of Tejano Center Community Concerns service offerings and experience within RYSS is preferred.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to travel to various locations to reach target audiences efficiently.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Canvass designated community to promote RYSS Public Charter School District.

2. Generate leads for student enrollment at RYSS Early Childhood Academy at First Friends Pasadena

3. Provide a thorough daily report to supervisor.

4. Offer recommendations on recruitment based on insights gained during canvassing efforts.
