Security & Operations Support Specialist

Role: The Security & Operations Support Specialist assists the Security & Operations Manager by performing tasks related to maintaining the security program that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, and members, including the security of property and assets.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Compiles data and analyzes results of audits, inspections, and daily logs to assess security vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness and identify the need for additional resources. Plans and facilities regular training material and meetings.
- Performs administrative activities such as processing invoices for payment, including resolving any issues or errors with billing, creating spreadsheets and electronic filing. Processing and routing of incoming and outgoing packages and mail.
- Schedules regular maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs or adjustments to electronic devices, including but not limited to, access control and video surveillance. Ensures equipment remains updated and operational.
- Assists with maintaining video surveillance systems. Responds to video surveillance requests from branch staff, law enforcement, and incident reports.
- Serves as back up to the front desk Receptionist at headquarters including greeting visitors and completing security procedures such as issuing badges as well as answering and routing phone calls.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education: Associate's degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
Additional skills required:
- Positive attitude, integrity, and ability to communicate professionally with other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication abilities, including speaking, writing, active listening, and including routine and emergency calls.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess effective organization and time management skills, like prioritization, multitasking and planning.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly in the usage of Excel.
- Must possess basic knowledge of security program concepts, practices, policies and procedures relating to physical security.
- Must possess critical thinking and reasoning ability.
- Budget tracking skills required.
