Responsibilities:

o The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide fast-paced SL2 technical support for all applications used by the Standard Settlement Instructions application under Regulatory Cross Product Technology.

o There is a significant amount of day-to-day relationship management involved in this role to provide excellent service, concentrating especially on the values core to the bank.

o Work with wide cross section of teams, including SL3, Development and central platform teams, effectively manage their expectations.

o Ensuring application monitoring is kept in line with application releases and change.

o Ownership of problem tickets that have been raised for application set.

o Collaborate with technology partners to provide resolution for open problems or ensure that the appropriate parties have been tasked with doing so.

o Ensures PIR reporting and Root Cause Analysis

o Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.

Must Have:

12+ years extensive experience in IT delivery in a large enterprise working on mission-critical IT systems support (Having Java development experience is an advantage)

Working experience in financial institution (must) in providing IT support and dealing with business users on support or requirement gathering

Domain knowledge in developing/supporting Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) application catering OTC Collateral & FX products.

Working Experience in Oracle RDBMS, Unix/Linux environment, Control-M and Monitoring tools like Geneos, AppDynamics,Splunk, New Relic

Strong Scripting Experience in Groovy, Shell, Java or Python

Working Knowledge of Oracle Management, SQL scripts, performance mgmt.

Strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible (preferred)

Demonstrable Site Reliability Engineering extensive experience

Experience in Prometheus/Grafana monitoring stack

Work with teams across countries, regions and time zones with a broad range of cultures and technical expertise.

Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.

Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility.

Experience of working in a delivery model based on agreed Service Level agreements and working to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of service delivered.

Nice To Have

Exposure to Agile Framework and Agile way of working

Exposure to tools like JIRA, Bit Bucket/GitHub, Confluence, TEAMCITY/Jenkins/Artifactory/Sonar

GCP familiarity or even Associate Engineer Certification
