Purpose

The Business Systems Analyst will assist in the implementation, development, maintenance, and support of Church World Service's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software along with related software and systems. This role will require ongoing collaboration with colleagues across the organization, as well as external partners and vendors, to ensure that the software and system solutions meets the organization's evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for the ERP and related systems and software.
  • Respond in a timely manner to user tickets and questions.
  • Maintain strong, productive relationships with staff, vendors, and implementing partners.
  • Process problems with business partners, identify solutions, document requirements, and effectively manage risks.
  • Assist in projects to optimize finance processes.
  • Analyze process problems and provide support, working closely with the finance business partners, Senior Business Analyst, accounting and finance staff, and program managers.
  • Test and implement software and system solutions.
  • Actively monitor systems and solve problems to keep the project moving forward. Report and escalate as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
  • Minimum of six years of experience in business analyst functions.
  • Two or more years of software project management delivery.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Intelligence Systems, Data Analytics, or Financial Planning and Analysis Systems and their implementations
  • Fundamental knowledge of Systems Delivery Life Cycle and Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated record of successful systems and process improvements and continuous on-time execution toward deliverables or milestones.
  • Strong background and understanding of accounting/fiscal management principles.
  • Critical thinking and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility, patience, and the ability to work productively with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Attentiveness to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion while working with highly confidential information.
