Position Summary:
The Senior BI Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence frameworks that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
This position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to gather data requirements, develop and manage data repositories, create insightful reports and dashboards, and ensure data integrity for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Engage with business teams to collect and interpret their BI needs.
Design, publish, and automate reports and dashboards tailored to business objectives.
Guarantee the precision and reliability of data in reporting.
Database Management:
Oversee and sustain database systems and data warehouse environments.
Conduct data cleansing and validation processes.
Tool Development and Integration:
Create and enhance BI tools, including OLAP cubes, data models, and reporting solutions, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Power BI.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Evaluate BI system performance and implement optimizations as needed.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to BI tools and data integrity.
User Training and Support:
Deliver training and assistance to business users on BI tools and reporting solutions.
Produce documentation and user manuals for BI applications.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in BI engineering, data analysis, or similar roles.
Extensive experience in creating reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
Proficient in SQL and database management systems.
Familiarity with ETL tools and methodologies.
Understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse.
Background in developing BI solutions for manufacturing and distribution sectors.
