Summary:

The Production Tester inspects and identifies component defects by testing the frozen beverage dispensing equipment. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting and resolving component and assembly issues and ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness and safety of manufacturing area. Assist and follow the training provided by the Production Tester II, Production Supervisors and Leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and identify component defects by testing air-cooled (AC) and water-cooled (WC) frozen beverage dispensing equipment in accordance with work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve component and assembly issues and communicate findings to Management, Engineering or Quality Department.
  • Maintain test equipment as instructed by management.
  • Complete and maintain documentation of equipment tests and record defects on quality forms.
  • Cross-train in other areas of Production.
  • Perform simple calculations.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with hand tools and assembly preferred.
  • 608 Type 2 or Universal certification must be received within 60 days.
  • Electronic and equipment testing experience preferred.
  • Able to safely and proficiently use hand pliers, hand screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers, tie wrap cutters and testing equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to remember, follow and understand on the job training in order to successfully complete tasks and achieve Type 2 or Universal certification.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test and reference checks.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand, walk, grasp, reach, push, pull, lift/move, carry, see, hear, speak, and have eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently climb, stoop, bend, kneel and crouch.
  • The employee must constantly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lifting and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • The employee must wear appropriate PPE as required in work area.
  • This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Perform job duties for up to 8 or more hours a day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include having to hear and communicate over the phone and in person in a noising environment and having to hear alarms and bells in manufacturing areas.
  • This position is essential; therefore, the tasks need to be performed onsite at FBD.
