Manage all loads hauled by GR Iron & Metal trucks or trailers
• Haul material efficiently and safely
• Coordinate all trucking requests and ensure freight is hauled within 48 hrs of request
• Supervise GR Iron & Metal cloud calendar for trucking
• Manage and ensure all logistics documentation is completed and correct
• Supervise and support trailer tracking system
• Maintain an active database of trucking resources to meet service requests and
commitments
Manage transportation equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair minor problems in conjunction with maintenance manager
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance department
• Maintain and renew all necessary documentation such as DOT for trucks and trailers
• Maintain and organize trailer yard
• Ensure trucks are presentable and clean
• Collaborate with maintenance manager the preventative maintenance program for
department
• Proactively evaluate workload compared to current capabilities and respond as
needed
Positional Goal: Realistic scheduling that lets no one down while being prepared and
capable to expand capacity as volumes require.

Must have a class A CDL

Required to drive locally and manage 2-4 local drivers
