As one of the leading warehousing and logistics firms in North America, we are in search of a skilled Logistics Operations Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and coordinate the details of shipments departing from Comprehensive Logistics.
  • Assist in training the Material Movement Team.
  • Educate and mentor all shipping staff on company policies and procedures.
  • Make timely decisions that impact service quality and productivity.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality control, materials management, and customers to ensure adherence to processes that meet client expectations.
  • Plan, organize, and resolve issues while making informed decisions that influence service and productivity.
  • Utilize STREAM for building and/or shipping loads.
  • Understand how our operations impact customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Dock Safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Promote and uphold a safe working environment.
  • Enforce company policies and corresponding work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate part statuses, even when on a trailer.
  • Analyze build papers from customers for each cell—verify all received parts and notify customers of any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the 2nd shift planner on inventory-related issues.
  • Collect requested parts throughout the night and schedule timely deliveries to customers.
  • Support the Quality Liaison with inventory and quality concerns during the shift.
  • Assist receiving operations by entering deliveries into the system.
  • Provide nightly reports to planners regarding parts that need reordering.
  • Exhibit excellent attendance and availability as required by the company.
  • Must be capable of bending, lifting, and squatting up to 50 lbs, with frequent sitting, walking, and standing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Warehouse experience (required).
  • Familiarity with SAP/ERP/WMS systems (preferred).
  • Inventory management experience (required).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing is desirable.
