Overview

This position ensures all the details work in unison by harmonizing program goals, fiscal accuracy and oversight, and state policy and procedures. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for drafting and editing, be capable of budgetary review and monitoring, be a systems thinker who understands business workflow, is comfortable using software and technology, and is able to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition, the Contract and Grants Administrator also plays a role in activities related to purchasing, accounts payable, storage & fulfillment, expenses and travel oversight.

Who May Apply

This position, Contracts and Grants Administrator - Limited Service (Job Requisition #50381), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in a standard office setting, but may involve some travel for which private means of transportation is required. Some evening or overtime work may be necessary. Interaction with grantees, contractors and consultants through phone contact is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher AND two (2) years of work experience that includes one or more of the following: (a) administration of grants/contracts as a funder and/or recipient; (b) collaboration with community partners in the delivery of social services; c) enforcement of provider agreements; OR d) management of financial affairs or a governmental accounting system.

Four (4) years of experience that includes one or more of the following: (a) administration of grants/contracts as a funder and/or recipient; (b) collaboration with community partners in the delivery of social services; c) enforcement of provider agreements; OR d) management of financial affairs or a governmental accounting system.
