MLR is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to support the daily operations of our Radiation Oncology department. In this role, you will help optimize patient flow, enhance departmental efficiency, and provide compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment.
Radiation Therapist Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or a related field.
- Current Radiation Therapy license issued by the IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety and registry eligible with ARRT within 6 months of hire.
- BLS/CPR certification from the AHA.
- Administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and explain procedures to patients.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and monitor their comfort throughout treatments.
- Simulate treatments based on established plans and make adjustments as needed.
- Design custom treatment devices when required.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient care.
