Your opportunity:

As a Systems Analyst Senior you will be responsible for the implementation and support of the Finance area solutions (SAP Finance and Controlling) in a manufacturing environment. Significant experience in SAP FICO is required to provide guidance and insights to project team members and the business. A well-rounded understanding of general accounting principles, cost accounting, financial accounting, and reporting. In addition to the project-based initiatives, this position will also be responsible for the day to day production support tasks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Performs all analyst tasks required across the Software Development Lifecycle, including eliciting and documenting requirements, designs configuration, creation of master data, testing scenarios, implementation plans, validation, data uploads, data analyses etc.
  • Lead efforts to make enhancements to or create new solutions for.
    • Financial Accounting (FI) - General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Special Ledgers, Commission and Tax.
    • Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) - Collections, Credit, Dispute, Treasury and Risk Management
    • Controlling (CO) - General Controlling, Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Order and Activity Based Costing
  • Ability to document business processes, develop training documentation and content for software platforms.
  • Works in Agile software-development environment. Create and groom stories, estimate and commit to tasks to be completed within a sprint and collaborate with other project teams as needed to complete end-to-end solution for the business.
  • Creation of moderately complex, to complex technical design specifications from functional requirements including system use case diagrams, data flow diagrams, system design models, etc. Programming knowledge is required. Minimal interaction with programmer should be necessary during development.
  • Ability to manage projects, priority problem tickets and troubleshooting within project work. Meet with business users and project leaders to discuss and plan guidelines and criteria for project plan, timeline, and requirements.
  • Participate in SAP Software upgrade projects, including validation and remediation for support packs, implementation of OSS notes and general version upgrades.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills that help build strong relationships with coworkers and customers. Is able to effectively resolve conflicts. Is able to train others on complex tasks and concepts. Is able to collaborate and make formal presentations to others in IT as well as business stakeholders.
  • Can constructively offer feedback and ideas for improvements in processes, systems, and areas of a technical nature.
  • Provides ongoing system support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you should have:
  • Four-year degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6-8 years of business experience in IT and accounting or finance environment working with end-users to translate business requirements into system specifications.
  • 8+ years of hands-on SAP ECC configuration experience in FICO and experience with at least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
  • Thorough understanding of the integration with other SAP modules - Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Logistics, Plant Maintenance and Payroll.
  • Good knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, object dependencies and tables.
  • Strong knowledge of how to configure and apply SAP software solutions to solve business requirements.
  • Experience in a highly configurable manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Vertex Sales Tax Q Series is a plus
  • Strong ability analyzing and quickly resolving problems in integrated ERP systems and/or systems with many interfaces.
  • Proven leadership, project coordination, meeting facilitation skills.
  • Conversant with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects Suite (Webi, Analysis) and other business analytic tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • Working experience with SAP Simple Finance, SAP BPC 10/10.1, BPC 11 and SAC is a plus.
