Our company is seeking a Senior Satellite Ground Systems Software Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing Java-based applications for satellite ground systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, software development, and working in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to stay updated with the latest advancements in Java and satellite technology. A U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required for this position. What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
- Work in a systems Model Based Systems Engineering Architecture (MBSE) role.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities.
What You Will Learn
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java and satellite technology to drive innovation.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with satellite ground systems and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) architecture.
- Expertise in Java software development, Agile methodology, and cyber security.
- Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 9+ years of Satellite Ground Systems experience within the GPS OCX enterprise.
- Advanced Java Software development experience and technical leadership skills.
