Position Summary:

As the Speech and Language Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. You will oversee and support a team of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), ensuring that all students receive high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services. Your expertise will be key in evaluating student progress and enhancing our programs to meet and exceed educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise SLPs and SLPAs, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timely performance evaluations. Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive and professional environment.
  • Clinical Excellence: Conduct comprehensive speech assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology and ABA. Monitor student progress, analyze data, and adjust programs to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Crossroads staff, consultants, school districts, and families to coordinate services, support staff development, and enhance student programming. Attend and contribute to meetings, including staffing, IEPs, and training sessions.
  • Program Development: Oversee the creation and presentation of student speech programming, manage AAC systems, and provide training for staff on AAC usage. Lead monthly speech consistency meetings and support Functional Communication Training (FCT).
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with protocol development, interview potential staff, and participate in student assessments. Ensure timely completion of documentation, including session notes, attendance, and Medicaid sheets.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and current Massachusetts teaching licensure (or enrolled in a clinical fellowship program)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in ABA-based treatment of autism
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and CALM certification
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical interventions, including lifting, pivoting, squatting, kneeling, and assisting students to the floor
  • Capability to move quickly and confidently to ensure student safety
