Responsibilities Deployment of Lean Material Flow strategies at the plant and supporting warehouse Establish and maintain time studies for plant specific materials team members Establish and maintain standard work instructions for plant specific materials team members Provide Industrial Engineering analysis on cost improvement initiatives Ownership of layouts for supply chain managed footprints Support and track Lean Assessments and Value Stream Mapping sessions Define local CIR’s, gap closure plans and project plans based off of plant Supply Chain Engineer’s findings through project management functions Develop/maintain 5S, KPI programs for supporting warehouse(s) Monitor plant/warehouse Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions for KPI’s that fall below allowable thresholds Identification, participation from IE perspective, and implementation of cost savings and waste elimination initiatives Ideal Warehouse and Replenishment upkeep and validation at WHQ level Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience OR Master's degree At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience OR At least 7 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or Supply Chain Management Preferred experience in establishing and maintaining time studies with MOST motion time system Experience with AutoCAD Familiarization with a manufacturing environment Experience working with/in Union environment Strong knowledge of Logistics and Transportation processes preferred Lean and/or Sig Sigma training (Green belt preferred) Proven track record of project design, execution and sustainment Experience conducting VSM and Kaizen sessions Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Hands on knowledge of WMS, YMS, and TMS systems Company Overview Navistar, Inc.
