Hourly Salary: Commensurate with experience $15.39 per hour
Benefits: Full benefits including paid holidays, sick leave and annual leave, health insurance and retirement. Local supplement of 5.5% starts the month after completion of first year. State longevity after 10 years of service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-year college degree or graduation from a technical school preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience operating a Apple OSX/iOS and/or PC computer hardware and software, including operating systems and common applications.
- Minimum one year experience and/or equivalent training operating computers and software in a networked environment.
- Minimum one year experience as an Internet and email user.
- Preferred experience in an educational environment.
- Such other qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: Director of Technical Services
Job Goal: To provide on-site technical support for schools in accordance with district standards and at the direction of the central ITD support apparatus.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots computer equipment, peripherals, software applications, network connections and classroom presentation equipment at assigned locations.
- Follows established procedures for processing IT support requests, documents in-progress and completed work, and closes support tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Performs repairs or arranges for repairs dependent on current skill level.
- Maintains a parts inventory.
- Delivers and picks up equipment to be repaired at approved vendor sites (as needed).
- Sets up computer and AV equipment for special programs and meetings (as needed).
- Assists in the selection of computer and AV equipment.
- Installs new hardware and software products, including peripherals - printers, scanners, etc. - and network connections for Internet and email access.
- Installs hardware and software upgrades, including computer memory, network cards, software drivers, etc.
- Processes surplus equipment at assigned locations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Support Specialist, and/or Director of Technical Services.
Terms of Employment: 12-month year. Salary based on schedule adopted by the Board. Grade 620
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
