Pharmacy Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists by reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
Key Responsibilities- Compounds and prepares hazardous medications, including high-risk medication processes, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Delivers medications to patient areas and returns unused medications to the pharmacy.
- Documents pharmaceutical activities, including patient billing and quality control requirements.
- Responds to customer requests for assistance with pharmacy services.
- Operates and supports automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients.
- Orders, receives, and restocks inventory, and completes expiration date management.
- Assists with training new employees and contributes to process improvement projects.
- Completes regulatory compliance inspections of medication storage areas.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
