Job Title: Tissue Technician II

At Intuitive, we are committed to advancing the world of minimally invasive care. We are seeking a highly skilled Tissue Technician II to join our team.

Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to assemble a variety of tissue products, meeting quality, efficiency, and productivity goals, within a manufacturing/lab environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble tissue products according to standard instructions and prints.
  • Operate and set up production supplies/equipment.
  • Collect and handle materials in accordance with procedures.
  • Inspect raw tissue for usability and communicate results to appropriate personnel.
  • Work with Engineering to improve assembly and manufacturing methods.
  • Maintain proficiency with using the Time Tracker program.
  • Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in suturing, use of proper surgical instruments, and surgical knot tying.
Requirements
  • Certification to 4 assemblies or processes or comparable experience equivalent to 1 year.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as sewing and cutting, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use clocks, timers, tools, calculators, and rulers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to report quality issues and suggest simple process improvements.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in a controlled environment, wearing scrubs and slip-resistant shoes.
