Summary / Role Purpose

The Senior Principal Product Manager is a principal advisor with technical and business expertise across business units that enables the role to provide counsel and guidance directly to top management on matters of significant business impact. With the expertise and knowledge to influence cross-BU roadmaps and go-to-market strategies, the individual is a thought leader across multiple disciplines and is recognized internally as the de facto expert for the most complex technical and business issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads product initiatives across various physics/disciplines across multiple business units focusing on offerings in battery, healthcare and electronics reliability
  • Technology evangelist, providing deep use case knowledge to the Product Development team, spanning business and design processes
  • Engages with critical customers for planning, roadmap, and deployment of solutions
  • Responsible for preparing updates to executive and senior leadership team on product deliverables, strategy and key financial metrics
  • Provides thought leadership in technical public forums: Conferences, Field Events, Executive round tables, etc.
  • Recognized internally and externally as an Industry expert
  • Partners with ACE and sales to drive business
  • Expected to contribute to ALT
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field with 12 of combined experience in engineering, computer aided engineering (CAE) simulations, pre-sales support, sales, or customer engagement, or master's degree with 10 years of experience, or PhD plus 8 years of experience
  • Experience providing counsel and guidance to top management on significant technical matters that require coordination between business units
  • Recognized internally as the de facto expert for the most complex problems in relevant subject matter areas
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Advanced degree in business, science or engineering, 20+ years of combined experience in engineering, CAE simulations, or technical sales
  • Experience providing expert counsel and advice to the board on strategic decisions that have company-wide impact and industry-wide authority
  • Ability to lead a major department/multiple departments across a function
  • Experience in medical industry - working with companies and providers in this space
  • Experience in electronics reliability space
