- Generate detailed after-action reports, cybersecurity defense methodologies, and incident documentation.
- Engage in response efforts and assist in addressing any suspected or confirmed cybersecurity breaches.
- Disseminate knowledge and insights acquired from cybersecurity incidents to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the training and development of junior analysts.
- Analyze network and host logs for potential threats.
- Conduct network investigations, collect artifacts, and perform timeline analyses utilizing various EDR tools.
- Mitigate and prevent potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in crafting and executing training initiatives for malware analysts.
- Review, draft, and update cyber incident response protocols.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of pertinent experience; additional experience may substitute for formal education.
- Proficient in resolving complex malware and intrusion challenges through host analysis, forensics, and reverse engineering techniques.
- Ability to recommend effective countermeasures against malware and malicious applications that exploit communication systems.
- Experience with debugging tools, disassemblers, unpacking tools, and binary analysis software.
- Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis methodologies.
- Capable of identifying remediation actions for cybersecurity incidents.
- Experience with Splunk and EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Tanium.
- Possession of at least one of the following active certifications: CASP+ CE; CCISO; CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CISA; CISM; CISSP (or Associate); CISSP-ISSAP; CISSP-ISSEP; Cloud+; CySA+; GCED; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; GSLC; SCYBER.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Comprehension of Security Operations Center functions and processes.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing systems.
- Background in managing state and national-level intrusions.
- Knowledge of both high-level and low-level programming languages.
- Experience in creating and implementing comprehensive training programs.
