Customer Education and Enablement Specialist at Tulip Interfaces

Somerville, Massachusetts

Tulip, the Frontline Operations Platform, is empowering the world's leading companies to improve the productivity of their teams, the quality of their output, and the efficiency of their operations. With Tulip's no-code platform, companies can empower those closest to operations to digitally transform their facilities and gain real-time visibility into the people, machines, and processes involved --all in a matter of days. Companies of all sizes, across industries including consumer electronics, aerospace and defense, contract manufacturing, automotive, apparel, medical devices, and more, have implemented Tulip's intuitive platform to solve some of the most pressing challenges in manufacturing: error-proofing processes with guided workflows, integrating machines and devices at the edge, and capturing and analyzing real-time operational data.

A spinoff out of MIT, the company is headquartered in Somerville, MA, with offices in Germany and Hungary. It has been recognized as an MES Challenger on the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant, Frost and Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the year, and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer.

We're looking to add a highly motivated Specialist to our Customer Education and Enablement team. This position lives in the Digital Transformation Practice Group, a team mandated with helping our customers transform their operations as quickly and effectively as possible through consultation and education, and reports to the Customer Education and Enablement Lead. This is a generalist role, and our ideal candidate is someone who's interested in contributing to a full range of educational programs, from eLearning content production to ILT to written enablement to community programs. We need someone who's excited to jump in and help us build a best-in-class, growth-focused educational machine. This role will be great for someone looking for a high degree of impact and ownership in an industry-leading, rapidly scaling organization. Successful candidates in this role will have the opportunity to grow as a generalist or pursue a more specialized track over time.

About You:

  • You're equally comfortable creating video content, writing clear and compelling documentation, and working live with learners
  • You put the customer first. They're the reason we're here, and you bring that focus to every piece of content you create and project you prioritize
  • Empathy informs everything you do. You're able to put yourself in our learners' shoes and turn your insights into clear, concise learning content
  • You're an expert learner yourself. You're comfortable immersing yourself in new ideas, technologies, and ways of thinking on an ongoing basis
  • You think creatively about when, how, and where to surface learning content. You think deeply about what particular users need to be successful at each stage of their journey
  • You take an outcome-based approach to education. You can identify a business or user need, and design educational experiences to address it
What skills do I need?:
  • Ability to create learning content across a variety of media
  • A solid understanding of adult learning best practices
  • Superlative communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage learning projects from end to end
  • Strong research skills, with an ability to source information from internal SMEs, customers and partners, data, and a savvy Google search
  • Understanding of manufacturing concepts and processes. You don't need to be an engineer by training, but you will need to speak knowledgeably with customers, SMEs, and other practitioners
  • A knack for learning and teaching technical concepts
Key Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert in the Tulip platform
  • Design and produce instructional materials, including but not limited to eLearning courses, short video tutorials, written how-to guides, webinars, and enablement material
  • Identify opportunities for new learning content or programs and proactively pursue them
  • Collaborate with SMEs to scope, design, and test training
  • Analyze program performance against key business and learning targets
  • Contribute periodic reporting on learning programs
  • Manage content across its lifecycle
  • Learn and keep abreast of key trends and developments in advanced manufacturing
Nice-to-Haves
  • A portfolio of learning materials showcasing eLearning, documentation, or community programs
  • A background in mechanical or industrial engineering, or experience in advanced manufacturing (even a strong interest in manufacturing is a bonus)
  • Experience at a scaling SaaS organization
  • An understanding of basic software development concepts, or basic proficiency in a programming language
Key Collaborators:

Customer Success, Customer Services, Digital Transformation Practice, Marketing, Product Management, Library
