JOB SUMMARY:
As the Connected Infotainment (Ride Command+) Principal Product Manager at Polaris, you will be responsible for developing products and features in the Ride Command+ connected vehicle digital ecosystem spanning multiple teams and technologies. These include infotainment displays, connected hardware, software & user experience. This role partners with product and business leaders across the company including business units, engineering, design, marketing, legal and others. This strategic senior individual contributor will drive product roadmaps & requirements that deliver exceptionally useful features and technologies tailored to Polaris's many business units, vehicles, and customer segments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create strategic long-range product, platforming, obsolescence & supersession plans, manage tactical roadmaps & backlogs that align with business goals, technology capabilities, and user expectations.
- Leverage user feedback, field quality and business priorities to balance development priorities. Manage tradeoffs between new feature development, investment in underlying architecture capabilities and maintenance & enhancements of existing functionality.
- Lead development of product requirements documents detailing the customer needs, features, functionality, and behavior of the product. Partner with Polaris business units across off-road, on-road, marine and technical teams.
- Enable technical teams with product plans, requirements, designs, and guidance to remove roadblocks and ensure acceptance criteria is met, while maintaining focus on quality
- Ensure technical architecture roadmap aligns with and enables the product plan.
- Work closely with designers to create intuitive interfaces, considering user workflows, accessibility, and visual aesthetics.
- Manage select strategic relationships with external partners & vendors. Assist with contracts and commercial agreements.
- Invest in new technology & product concepts, take measured risks & apply new technologies.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Ride Command Ecosystem technologies, features, and capabilities along with Polaris's product line and customer segments.
- Function as a thought leader for on-vehicle digital experiences. Foster a positive team culture & customer focused mindset.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or related field is required.
- 15+ years of progressive experience working with Technology and Business Strategy.
- 6+ years in digital product management spanning experience within mobility, connected electronics, displays &/or HMI (Human Machine Interface), software, and user experience design.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision in a matrix environment, influence without direct authority, and eliminate ambiguity by driving clarity and alignment.
- Proven track record demonstrating a deep understanding of product life cycle management to take a product idea from conception to release, including new feature and function releases, upgrades, enhancements, etc.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills with outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Technical aptitude to evaluate requirements and coordinate with business analysts and developers
- Demonstrated results establishing a product vision and road maps that led to successful business value
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss digital concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
- Hybrid working model (in-office/home) is strongly preferred. Potential for remote based with ad-hoc travel to Polaris locations based on business need dependent on candidate location and qualifications.
