Job Title: Production Manager

Sartori Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the conversion process at our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production meets targets and that our facility operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee plant production to ensure productivity goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Optimize production by minimizing downtime and reducing operational bottlenecks in collaboration with our Continuous Improvement, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
  • Partner with Converting Supervisors to identify areas of opportunity to improve production efficiency and uptime.
  • Collaborate with Planning to address production schedule challenges.
  • Identify and implement the best tools and technologies to manage workflow and optimize their deployment.
  • Provide regular status reports to functional leaders and leadership.
  • Partner with the Product Development team to develop new products and improve existing ones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement workflow procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager to plan preventive maintenance measures and emergency maintenance for the converting facility and equipment.
  • Lead cross-functional activities to ensure finished goods meet first-pass quality standards.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Product Development, and Production Scheduling for weekly production challenges and projects.
  • Immediately report any food safety or quality issues to management or other authorized individuals.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of managerial experience in manufacturing.
  • Professional certifications such as Statistical Process Control, LEAN, or IFMA are desired.

  • Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas to any audience.
  • Results-driven and focused on achieving business acumen.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and make sound decisions.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and JD Edwards or related ERP systems.
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership.

The physical demands of this job include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talking or hearing. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
