Job Profile Summary
Responsible for evaluating, implementing and administering all global compensation programs including analyzing trends, evaluating position to benchmarking data, and developing alternatives for program delivery. Reports to the Director Global Compensation.
Major Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Director, designs, develops, and administers Generac’s compensation plans and programs. Works with global HR partners to evaluate, design, and implement global compensation programs to align with our global growth and overall compensation direction.

Leads the execution of all compensation programs working closely with HR teams and vendors by evaluating and administering competitive compensation programs aligned with approved objectives and allocated financial resources. Partners closely with finance to understand costs and conduct a regular cost analysis.

Evaluates market trends and makes recommendations to maintain competitiveness as well as internal equity of compensation programs. Ensures the administration and communication of compensation programs are well executed and contributes to a positive HR business partner, leader, and employee experience. Collaborates to build and align purpose as a critical component of our employment value proposition, contributing to employee recommitment and engagement.

Ensures compliance with all compensation-related laws and regulations.

Partners in compensation-related due diligence for mergers and acquisition activities.

Drives a team culture of compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Collaborate with IT, Finance, and other departments to achieve these objectives.

Ensures compensation programs are aligned to enhance talent attraction, retention, and engagement.

Selects, coaches, and develops the team, setting objectives aligned with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.

Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or other related fields, required
Certification / License
Work Experience
-
Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience in compensation with minimum 2 years in global compensation.
-
5 years’ experience with a proven track record of leveraging technology to enhance the compensation function and employee experience.
-
3 years’ experience working within a Center of Excellence (COE) model within a larger, global organization with a culture of continuous improvement and workplace efficiency while maintaining high levels of positive employee experience.

Experience using Workday to administer global compensation programs including merit, performance reviews, bonus, and equity programs.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Process and detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey information to varying levels of employee.

Proven ability to effectively present information and recommendations to senior leadership.

Strong understanding of the economics impacting compensation plans, including costs to the employer and the employees.

Strong business understanding and ability to quickly understand the financials and operational levers of the business.

Demonstrated project management skills and a successful track record for bringing highly complex projects to completion.

Strong people management skills, including the ability to coach, develop and monitor the effectiveness of direct reports.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
