Job Title: Caseworker (In-Home Family Specialist) *Location: * Allegheny County Salary Range: $19.00/hr - $22.35/hr Schedule: Full-time, Self-determined schedule, Hybrid, some evenings and weekends About the Team The Caseworker (In-Home Family Specialist) is part of our Family Support Services team. This team provides a wide array of family support services to help families and children grow stronger, from prevention and reunification services to care coordination services. All of our programs are built around the idea of permanency --- supporting safe, nurturing, and lasting families --- and putting the health and safety of the child first. This position independently develops and implements service plans that promote safety, well-being, and permanency for all assigned clients. About the Position The * Caseworker (In-Home Family Specialist) * is a hybrid community-based role that assesses and monitors the safety and wellbeing of the child(ren) while simultaneously teaching parenting skills and providing connection to community resources for the purpose of stabilizing the home environment. Job responsibilities include: Assess client needs using formal and informal evaluations, referral source recommendations, and client preferences Develop and implement individual service plans that reflect needs related to parenting skills, relationship building strategies, and community resources Provide parent education to clients utilizing the Incredible Years evidence-based curriculum as needed Provide formal and informal community resources to clients as indicated Transport clients to appointments as needed Complete all required programming documentation within electronic health record systems with accuracy and timeliness related to county contractual requirements Participate in any county requested activities including meetings and legal proceedings Adhere to CPSL protocols related to mandated reporter responsibilities Participate in scheduled team and supervision activities Provides supportive peer shadowing experiences for new team members Complete 40 hours of on-going professional development/training annually Willingness to work non-traditional work hours including evenings and weekends to meet client needs Achieve 1575 client service delivery hours annually Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or relevant Human Service field required Minimum of one year experience working in Child Welfare Act 33/34 Clearances FBI Clearance Valid, current driver's license and personal automobile liability insurance with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit coverage Approval to verify driving history at the time of authorization and annually; approval to verify insurance coverage at the time of authorization and semi-annually Reliable automobile with current inspection Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of the job Amazing Benefits We're proud to offer generous benefits to our team members.
