The Behavioral Health Institute is dedicated to serving all segments of our community, particularly those who are underserved. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular and predictable work schedules, including rotating on-call duties, supported by an excellent team of staff.
- Engage with a diverse range of cases, providing ample opportunities for patient education and follow-up.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and offer psychiatric consultation and treatment for inmates.
- Collaborate effectively with mental health professionals, medical personnel, and pharmacy staff to ensure the provision of high-quality, dependable mental health care.
Required Qualifications:
- Preferred training in forensic psychiatry.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Psychiatry Residency.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Graduate from an accredited medical institution with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Must hold a valid Pennsylvania medical license prior to employment.
- DEA and CPR certification required before starting the position.
