We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled engineering CAD Technician to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineers and designers to produce high-quality CAD drawings and models for a variety of transportation projects including various NHDOT and MassDOT projects, MaineDOT culvert replacements, and Manchester RAISE projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed structural drawings and models using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop plans and specifications for projects.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.
  • Maintain organized records of all CAD files and project documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certificate in Civil Technology, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Drafting, or a related field.
  • Typically requires 0-5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the structural engineering field; internship experience accepted.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and DOT drafting standards.
