What you will do

  • Patient Care:
  • Maintain productivity data, analyze to indicate trend changes.
  • Handle patient concerns and complaints. With input from physicians, analyze and make recommendations for patient flow, scheduling and space utilization.
  • Responsible for quality of care provided in all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain supplies for all areas of responsibility.
  • Management Duties:
  • Assure licensed staff maintains CEUs adequate for license renewal.
  • Maintains adequate staff in all areas of responsibility to assure quality patient care.
  • Daily supervision of staff in all areas of responsibility.
  • Interview, hire, counsel, and terminate staff. Orient new staff to Radiology and ECHO, as well as provide broad overview of these areas to other MMC staff as required. Provide performance appraisals for staff in all areas of responsibility.
  • Represent Ancillary Services at meetings (Supervisor Meeting, Nurse Advisory Committee).
  • Reporting & Compliance:
  • Prepare Operating and Capital budget for Radiology, ECHO, and Ancillary Services Reception; monitor budget reports monthly to assure compliance, reconcile reports out of compliance.
  • Assure all report documentation is compliant with state requirements, Title XVII, including subpoena requests.
  • Maintain Mammography records in compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) to assure continued program licensure.
  • Maintain records to assure compliance with county and state requirements for management of Hazardous Waste Materials.
  • Maintain all forms for Radiology and ECHO.
  • All other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned and participates in organization projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to safety, P4P's (if applicable), HIPAA and compliance policies.
Education Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in radiography preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • At least five (5) years of experience.
  • At least one (1) year of staff management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Verbal and written communication skills demonstrate courtesy, compassion and helpfulness in a professional manner towards employees, patients and patient families.
  • Basic high school math, English aptitudes and legible handwriting.
  • Basic Windows skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and computer data entry skills to enter patient information.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy and EMR systems.
  • Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative and collaborative manner.
  • Requires concentration to handle varying procedures and interruptions.

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support and
  • BLS - Basic Life Support and
  • CRT or
  • ARRT-CT - Cert Arrt in CT or

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $60.26 - $79.85 per hour
