Job Summary

Radiology Associates Orange Park is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and obtaining accurate radiographic images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and enter accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system.
  • Provide clear instructions and answer patient inquiries.
  • Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment, including adjusting equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist with fluoroscopic procedures, special radiographic procedures, and bone density exams.
  • Prepare and dispense contrast media and barium.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and report malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Evaluate studies for technical quality and process related paperwork using computer equipment.
  • Follow safety standards and use radiation protection when operating imaging equipment.
  • Provide orientation and training to new technologists and student technologists.
  • Provide care for the psychological and physical needs of patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Licensed Tech in the state of Florida.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology (RT(R)) and BLS Certification.
  • One year of experience in radiologic imaging preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency with X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Bone Density procedures and protocols.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Experience with the use, QA, and troubleshooting of various types of radiologic equipment.
  • Intermediate computer skill and navigation ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
