The Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue and gross profit opportunities by managing the sales process for permanent installations in DFW and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and developing salespeople. Reporting to the General Manager-Perm Fence, the Sales Manager works directly with Estimators and Field Superintendents to ensure all customer needs are met in a timely manner. This position has a hybrid work environment with a base salary plus incentive compensation plan.

- Manage bid review and proposal process for commercial fence installations, ensuring quality and outstanding customer service
- Engage with and facilitate bids with a team of Estimators, Field Superintendents, and Independent Contractor fence installers
- Manage top 25 Account Strategy, by maintaining contact with top account contacts and key decision makers
- Participate in face to face construction related networking trade association events and other opportunities to develop relationship with top 25 Accounts
- Drive growth strategy into adjacent markets
- Execute product and pricing strategies with guidance from General Manager
- Review scope of work on large commercial projects to ensure the proposal clearly captures all scope of work
- Ensure invoicing and material requirements to ensure Jobs-in-Process are managed in a timely fashion; Coordinate ongoing communication with Operations Team supporting division
- Responsible for customer satisfaction; resolving any customer disputes or service-related issues
- Drive management initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence, such as improvements to the bid management process
- Work with Supply Chain team and yard/warehouse personnel to meet the needs of customers and fence installation contractors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Construction sales experience required
- 3 to 5 years of vendor experience to General Contractors, including various types of contracts (e.g. Design Build, Lump Sum, etc.)
- Commercial fence bidding experience preferred (primarily chain link and iron fence systems)
- Access Control experience a plus
- Must possess knowledge of construction plan reading, ASTM standards, submittal process, RFI and change order process, schedule of values (AIA format) knowledge
- Must be a self-disciplined individual with the ability to lead others
- Must have outstanding MS Office and commercial bidding software skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a team of sales, installation, accounting, and operations personnel in multiple locations
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and manage resources effectively

- Core business hours Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
- Business casual dress attire
- Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule with regular presence in company facilities, customer facilities, and job sites; must have access to dedicated office space with limited interruptions; high speed internet capable of video meetings, uploading and downloading documents, and VOIP phone calls
- Must have a clean driving record
- Clarity of vision at about 20 inches or less, 20 feet or more, depth perception, and peripheral vision to perform work on computer, read documents, verify job bids and work performed
- Ability to perform work with frequent interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload
- Operates in professional office environment, routinely using office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, etc. Noise level is mild to moderate
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer and telephone
- Requires frequent local and intermittent state and national business travel
