Sports Sponsorship and Event Marketing Specialist

What You'll Do:
- Marketing Strategy & Campaigns: Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies and campaigns to promote sports events, teams, or products across digital and traditional channels.
- Content Creation & Fan Engagement: Create engaging content to enhance fan experience and drive engagement through social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms.
- Event Promotion & Partnerships: Support the promotion and execution of sports events, manage sponsorships, build relationships with partners, and collaborate on community service initiatives to enhance brand reputation.
- Analytics & Budget Management: Monitor and analyze campaign performance, manage marketing budgets, and optimize strategies based on data insights to maximize impact and ROI.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the sports industry
- Negotiate and build single or multi-year partnerships with key collegiate/professional sports teams, building brand affinity through partnerships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful events that drive brand awareness and customer engagement
- Plan and execute engaging and successful events that promote brand awareness and drive customer engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives
- Utilize your knowledge and understanding of the sports industry to identify key opportunities and partnerships for CPI
- Create and manage budgets for sports marketing events and initiatives
- Monitor and analyze the success of sports marketing initiatives and make recommendations for future improvements
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor strategies to inform sports marketing decisions
- Ensure all sports marketing materials and messaging align with CPI brand and values
- Collaborate with the PR team to generate media coverage for sports/events and initiatives
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform future marketing strategies
- Manage and maintain event logistics, including vendor relationships, contracts, and timelines
- Ensure all events and initiatives comply with company policies and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Sports Marketing
- Five year's experience in non-profits, community engagement, sports marketing
- Must be located and working from our Corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated history of event planning/management required
- Proven track record of building relationships with local businesses, community organizations and partners
